Botulinum Toxin Application

Botulinum toxin is a toxin derived from bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. It can cause serious side effects when done by people who are not experts to the correct chosen patients. Botulinum toxin has a temporary effect on the region in which they are applied.

In plastic surgery practice, it is most often applied to the upper face area (forehead, glabellar , crow’s feet) for esthetic purposes. It helps shape eyebrow and eyeballs. Other than that, if you see too much gums when you laugh, it is used in dental tightening therapy (also in jaw shaping). It can make the neck  region look tighter and younger.

It can be applied to the underarms, palms and soles for excessive sweating treatment. It is used to reduce and shorten attack frequency in migraine treatment for selected persons. It is used by performing regional injections, the duration of effect is 4-6 months and can be continued daily after treatment.
